The trustees of the NANA Elders’ Settlement Trust (NEST) voted to issue a dividend of $1,750 per Elder for 2024 for a total distribution of $2,054,500 to be paid on or about Feb. 12, 2024.

Elders who are Alaska Native and NANA shareholders aged 65 or older as of Dec. 31, 2023, will receive the dividend. Those who have elected to receive their NEST dividend via direct deposit will receive the distribution on Feb. 12, 2024, and checks will arrive by mail later in the month for Elders who receive distributions via the U.S. Postal Service. Due to the amount of the dividend, it may be taxable depending on each Elder’s personal tax obligation.

It is important for qualifying Elders to make sure their records are up to date with NANA for NEST before Feb. 6, 2024. Just a reminder, records for all NANA shareholders can be updated by logging on to NANAtkut.com, by emailing records@nana.com or shareholders can stop by any NANA office.
