Senior Vice President and Chief Administration Officer
Sarah Aksik Uuqutiiq Lukin serves as NANA’s senior vice president and chief administration officer, overseeing external and government relations, regional sustainability, marketing and corporate communications, human resources, corporate administration and operations. Working with the executive leadership team, she supports, organizes and implements corporate initiatives and strategies.
Sarah has spent her career working with Indigenous businesses across the United States and Canada. She has testified before congressional committees and state legislatures, advocated before federal agencies and the White House, and interviewed with numerous national and regional media outlets.
Prior to joining NANA, Sarah was the chief operating officer of Pt Capital, a private equity firm investing in Arctic-based companies in industry support services, technology, communications and tourism. Prior to that, Sarah served as senior vice president of corporate affairs and a board member of Afognak Native Corporation. She was also the executive director and a board member of the Native American Contractors Association.
Sarah has a master’s degree from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a certificate in Alaska Native executive leadership from Alaska Pacific University. She received the Alaska Top Forty Under 40 award in 2008, the Native American 40 Under 40 award in 2009, and was awarded the Marshall Memorial Fellowship for transatlantic leadership in 2013.
Sarah is Alutiiq from the Native village of Port Lions. She is a shareholder of Koniag, Inc. and Afognak Native Corporation, as well as a tribal member of the Native Villages of Afognak and Port Lions.
